Sony defend PSP
Friday 21 Jul 2006 : 00:06 AM

SCEA's senior vice present of marketing Peter Dill has given an interview to United Press International in which he fields some harsh questions about the problems facing the PSP. He tries his best god bless him but not much of it sounds plausable, for example...
Q. How does the recent announcement that major Hollywood studios will be cutting back on UMD movies affect the PSP?
A. SCEA has been providing the Hollywood studios with data on the PSP consumer, both from a demographic and psychographic point of view, in an effort for them to better tailor their product offering to this new and emerging market. As such, we have seen studios cutting back on releasing their full content on UMD, as unlike the DVD market, the PSP consumer is targeted. We are committed to helping the studios better understand our product and our consumer, and will continue to educate them as we evolve and enhance the functionality of the PSP.
We haven't heard BS like that since Comical Ali told us he would "kill all the infidels".

Mercury Meltdown on PSP - first trailer
Wednesday 14 Jun 2006 : 16:27 PM
Ignition entertainment this morning released this trailer of the follow up to Archer McLeans 'Mercury' on PSP.
We're sure you'll agree that the 'new graphical style' looks fantastic and new additions include a wireless 2 player mode, 5 sub games and 160 new levels with more downloadable via sony's www.yourpsp.com website to follow.
We're positively salivating at the thought of playing this and we'll only have to wait until September this year for the UK release.

Micro Machines v4 gameplay footage and details
Tuesday 13 Jun 2006 : 11:55 AM
This great gameplay footage from the upcoming Micro Machines v4 was released this morning by Codemasters, along with a few new details.
We're only 17 days away from the June 30th launch date for the Playstation 2, PSP and PC versions, the NIntendo DS version will follow later.
The bad news is that we can't see any mention of online play for any of the versions, here's hoping they'll announce online play for the DS version, this game is crying out for it surely ?
